Wedding ceremonies are carried out with respect for each couples wishes and conducted by Lama Chimey who upholds this tradition by the grace of the late Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche.
Lama Chimey is an ordained wedding officiant authorized to perform weddings and all other congregational rites. She joyfully holds the space to support you through this important day.
No matter who you love, all couples that wish to make this sincere commitment to each other are welcome to make a request. You do not need to be Buddhist to enjoy this ceremony. Love is love.

Name Giving Ceremonies
Welcome the baby into the world through a name giving ceremony in the presence of family and friends. Traditional prayers and blessed water are used in this ceremony that is tailored to your wishes.
The name giving ceremony is an opportunity to announce your child’s name while surrounded by loved ones.
This service includes one preparatory meeting + the name giving ceremony.

Memorials & Funerals
The Memorial ceremony is given as a service for family and friends who wish to create an auspicious ending for their loved ones, humans and animals alike.
This ceremony is traditionally held around the 49th day after the deceased’s passing, but can be made at any later date of your choice.
It’s a sacred way to honor those gone and remember them with loving-kindness as well as creating a favorable continuation for the deceased mind-stream towards their next existence.
This service include one preparatory meeting + ritual preparations, accessories + the ceremony itself.

Buddhist Inspired Funerals
New! Reverend Lama Chimey can officiate Buddhist Inspired Funerals upon request.
These ceremonies are officiated in collaboration with authorized funeral homes. The ceremonies officiated by Lama Chimey are carried out with respect for each client’s wishes.
Ecumenical chapels can be recommended.
You do not need to be Buddhist to request this ceremony.

Buddhist Refuge & Lay Vow Ceremonies
When you are ready to formally dedicate yourself to the Buddhist wisdom path you can choose to honor that calling with a refuge ceremony. During such ceremony you take refuge in the three jewels, Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, as your three main guides through life.
If requested, Lama Chimey also bestows one or more lay precepts, so-called upasaka vows, to those who wish to take them.
The Upasaka vows are to refrain from killing, stealing, lying, sexual misconduct and intoxication.
This ceremony usually takes place upon request by a group or in conjunction with public teachings. If you have a group of people who would like to take refuge in the Buddhist wisdom path, or if you wish to be informed when Lama Chimey conducts such an event, contact us below.
